Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEI&B) initiatives are critical in the evolving world of work. Recently, we were thrilled to recognize an employee solutions company through our US Talent Solutions Awards. The recognition highlights the company’s exceptional contributions to DEI&B through its Equity@Work (E@W) initiative. E@W actively breaks down barriers that prevent underrepresented and overlooked talent pools from accessing meaningful employment. KellyOCG’s initiative reshapes the workforce and sets a new industry stand.

Breaking down barriers with Equity@Work

“Barriers can make it difficult—or even impossible—to attain enriching work,” Marvin Figaro, Director, DEI Strategic Partnerships-Diversity Office stated. These barriers, whether due to outdated hiring practices or unnecessary educational requirements, often exclude capable individuals from the workforce. Recognizing this challenge, KellyOCG committed itself to “removing those barriers and creating equitable access to employment opportunities for underrepresented and overlooked talent pools, like veterans, neurodiverse, and justice-involved individuals.”

KellyOCG’s DEI&B approach goes beyond merely filling roles. It aligns talent strategy with business goals to provide clients with a broader range of qualified candidates. As consultants, KellyOCG designs custom solutions tailored to each client’s unique talent needs, demonstrating their commitment to driving innovation and pushing the boundaries of what’s next in talent management.

Going further than employment

E@W not only expands candidate diversity but also profoundly impacts the communities where people live and work. “Removing barriers that prevent qualified individuals from securing employment impacts the communities where we live and work,” Marvin noted. The initiative acknowledges that equitable employment opportunities have significant impacts. They contribute to the social and economic well-being of entire communities.

In addition to the E@W initiative, the company has developed related programs like Kelly33, its second-chance employment initiative. “Kelly33” is specifically designed to help individuals who have faced significant barriers in finding work, offering them the opportunities they need to rebuild their lives and contribute to the workforce. These programs work to collectively assist clients in accessing a broader range of qualified talent, thereby fostering more inclusive workplaces.

A recognized leader in diversity, equity and inclusion

KellyOCG’s dedication to breaking down barriers and promoting equity in the workplace has earned them well-deserved recognition. Reflecting on their achievement, the company shared, “We’re thrilled to have this important program recognized with a TIARA Award.”

This accolade highlights KellyOCG’s innovative DEI&B approaches and underscores their importance in today’s business environment.

As KellyOCG continues to lead the way in creating more equitable employment opportunities, their efforts serve as an inspiring example for others in the industry. By removing the barriers that prevent qualified individuals from accessing meaningful work, KellyOCG is helping to build a more inclusive and just society—one job at a time. Their work through Equity@Work and other initiatives is not just about filling roles; it’s about building the future of work, ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to contribute and thrive.
