The Emirates Group has formalised its commitment to enhancing the skills and expertise of its Emirati workforce through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PwC’s Academy. This collaboration, a pivotal component of the Rehlaty strategy, aims to inspire, attract, develop, reward, and retain UAE nationals within the organisation.
Under the MoU, Emirati professionals working in human resources, finance, and audit departments across the Emirates Group will undergo top-tier training and certification in CIPD, CIA, and CFA, delivered by PwC Academy, a renowned institution in business consulting and advisory services. Oliver Grohmann, Senior Vice President for Human Resources at the Emirates Group, emphasised that this partnership reinforces their dedication to nurturing Emirati talent by providing them with advanced skills and internationally recognised certifications, thereby enhancing their competitiveness on a global scale.
Taimur Ali Mir, PwC Partner and Head of qualifications and certifications at PwC’s Academy, highlighted the significance of an upskilled national workforce as a driving force behind the UAE’s transformation agenda. He expressed enthusiasm about the MoU, stating that it not only supports the strategic growth of national talent but also empowers a globally competitive workforce across various roles and seniority levels.
The collaboration with PwC’s Academy is part of the broader Rehlaty strategy, which not only includes professional development initiatives but also features partnerships such as the recent exclusive scholarship program with RIT (Dubai) for Emirati high school graduates. Rehlaty encompasses a range of development and leadership programs, mentorship opportunities, and scholarships and internships for ambitious UAE nationals within the Emirates Group.
