Beyond its outstanding infrastructure and business-friendly environment, Dubai’s allure now extends to offering a diverse range of opportunities for professional growth. The survey, conducted by Colife, a global property management and rental services firm, revealed that while IT and marketing professionals constitute a significant portion of new immigrants to Dubai, fields like music, design, and real estate also attract a considerable number of talents.

The influx of newcomers to the city primarily comprises young professionals, with a majority (59 percent) falling within the 25-34 age range, and a significant portion (32 percent) belonging to the 18-24 age group, according to the survey findings.

Ilnara Muzafyarova, CEO of Colife, emphasised Dubai’s evolution into a hub for ambitious professionals from around the world, irrespective of their career aspirations. She highlighted Dubai’s status as not only a global business hub but also a diverse cultural and professional centre.

The survey, aimed at studying immigrant profiles and relocation decisions, indicated that Dubai’s appeal now transcends conventional factors like infrastructure and tax policies. Instead, the availability of “unlimited opportunities” for career development emerged as the primary driving force attracting talents to the city.

Dubai’s reputation as a magnet for qualified professionals has been reinforced by its consistent presence among the top cities globally for attracting talent and investment, as per management consulting firm Kearney. The city’s world-class infrastructure, favourable tax environment, qualified workforce, safety standards, and transportation accessibility contribute to its appeal.

David, a 30-year-old Chief IT Officer, underscored Dubai’s significance as a development focus and an intriguing place to live. Similarly, the Harvard Business Review (HBR) recognised Dubai as one of the leading cities globally for attracting valuable specialists, securing the third position in its rankings.

The survey quoted Hannah, a vocal and Piano teacher, and Victor, a 25-year-old real estate agent, among others, reflecting on Dubai’s appeal due to its unlimited opportunities, high quality of life, service standards, and competitive salaries.

Dubai’s position as a global destination for career advancement continues to attract talents from diverse backgrounds, affirming its status as a dynamic and thriving city on the world stage.
