LHH (a global business unit of the Adecco Group) releases its 2025 Salary Guide, detailing the most sought-after skills in many sectors – including HR.

The job market in the UK has cooled this year, putting the onus on businesses to retain their top talent through upskilling, leadership development, and of course, competitive remuneration.

Across the board, employees are craving stability, and a surefire way to do that is to offer them a salary and benefits that keep them invested. With that in mind, LHH’s 2025 Salary Guide finds:

Transferable skills: 66% of human resources professionals feel their current skills are transferable to other roles in their industry. This is because 61% feel their skills are transferable to other industries. However, only 57% of accounting professionals feel their skills are transferable to other industries.

Benchmarking: With a focus on HR roles, the company size doesn’t impact the salary. A Recruitment/Talent Acquisition Partner earns on average £46,160 at a small-sized company and £47,900 at a medium-sized company. Whereas, the average base salary for a Head of Recruitment is £86,000.

Diversity plays a role: Companies with diverse executive teams are 35% more likely to financially outperform competitors and 19% of organisations with diverse leadership teams generate 19% more revenue.

LHH is a global recruitment and leadership development company operating in 65+ countries with 15,000+ clients across a wide variety of sectors. The Salary Guide details the latest salaries and most sought-after skills across the following sectors: finance and accounting, human resources, legal, marketing and communications, supply chain and procurement and sales and business development.
