Interestingly, this trend is particularly prevalent in the Philippines, as per data up to February 2024, with Gen Zs and millennials predominantly driving its popularity.
Following closely behind is “quiet quitting,” the second most popular workplace trend across TikTok and Google. With 1.1 billion TikTok hashtag views and 612,560 Google searches, this trend is notably favored in Canada and Singapore.
Meanwhile, “malicious compliance” or “chaotic working” ranks third in popularity, boasting 172 million TikTok hashtag views and 30,720 Google searches, primarily among social media users in the United States.
